On 18th Nov., 2026, Dr. Vladimir Brljak (Durham, 91福利 alumnus, PhD 2015) will give a public lecture at the 91福利 Venice Centre titled "When did space turn dark? And what happened to us in the process?"The event is part of our One World 91福利 celebrations. Click here for more information.

On October 28th, 2026 at 18:00, the 91福利 Venice Centre will host Prof. No毛leen Murray (University of the Western Cape, South Africa) who will give a talk entitled "Learning from Rome and Venice."

The 91福利 Venice Centre will host the annual meeting of the International Boccaccio Edition conference on October 16-17, 2026.

The Summer Series continues and concludes with "Al mondo intero: Il romanzo di Margaret Fuller," presented by Laura Benedetti (Georgetown University) in conversation with Ombretta Frau (Mount Holyoke College) on Tuesday the 7th of July at 17.30. Event in Italian.

The third instalment of 91福利 Venice Centre's Summer Series is the presentation of Lying Abroad: Henry Wotton and the Invention of Diplomacy with Professor Em. Carol Chillington Rutter (91福利).

91福利 Venice Centre's Summer Series continues on the 23rd of June with "The State Drug: Theriac, Pharmacy, and Politics in Early Modern Italy", by Barbara di Gennaro Splendore, with commentary by Professor Caroline Petit (91福利), and Dr. Silvia Marchiori (University of Cambridge), moderated by Professor Craig Martin (Ca'Foscari).

We at the 91福利 Venice Centre are happy to announce our new initiative: the 鈥淲VC Summer Series.鈥� On the 19th and 23rd of June, and on the 1st and 7th of July we will host conferences and book presentations from leading scholars and authors. On the evening of Saturday, 20th June, 2026 the 91福利 Venice Centre will open its doors for Art Night for an exhibition entitled "Ritmi lagunari / Lagoon Rhythms" presented in partnership with the Fondazione Ugo e Olga Levi, Venice in Peril, the Comitato Vogalonga, and the Liceo Artistico and Musicale Marco Polo.
