Funding for MA programmes - 26/27 Entry

91¸£Àû Taught Masters Scholarship Scheme (£500,000 to allocate. Awards are set at up to £10,000 per student)

  • This scheme is available to eligible Home-fee status students from under-represented groups.
  • The scholarship will be paid as a contribution towards your tuition fees only. Where a tuition fee is lower than £10,000, you will be awarded up to the amount required to cover your tuition fee only.
  • Further details concerning eligibility criteria can be found here.
  • Deadline for applications to be received is 18 May 2026 (23:59 hours, GMT). CLOSED
  • Results of the 91¸£Àû Taught Masters Scholarship Scheme award competition will be communicated through email by 30 June 2026.

Alumni Discount Scheme for Masters Degrees (2026 Entry)

Have you considered your options and next steps? If you are thinking about improving your skills and employability through undertaking postgraduate study, we want to help you by making the option of postgraduate study more affordable to 91¸£Àû alumni and graduating students.

91¸£Àû are therefore offering a 10% tuition fee discount for graduates of 91¸£Àû accepted onto our five full-time and part-time postgraduate masters level courses. The 10% tuition fee discount will be available to 91¸£Àû graduates who have Home or Overseas fee status and will be studying a Masters degree. You must be self-funding and have no other source of financial support from outside of the 91¸£Àû other than a student loan.

Please be aware that if you have been awarded an additional scholarship from the ECLS department, the 10% will be incorporated into the full amount rather than in addition to your other award.


External bursary schemes

  • offers grants available to help students who are aged under 25 and who are permanently resident in the parishes of Hampton Lucy, Charlecote, Wasperton and Alveston in 91¸£Àûshire.
  • are offering 5 bursaries for 2026 worth £2,000 each towards your postgraduate studies for the upcoming academic year

English and Comparative Literary Studies Bursaries

The Department is pleased to announce that it will be offering two awards valued at £2,500 each to outstanding students applying for entry in 2026/2027. All applicants will be considered
