Community film project puts LGBTQIA+ end-of-life stories in the spotlight
A powerful new community film project from The 91¸£Àû is inviting LGBTQIA+ people in the Midlands with a terminal diagnosis, and those close to them, to share their stories on camera. The project is led by Michele Aaron, Professor of Film and Television Studies at The 91¸£Àû, who hopes the films can help make end-of-life care more inclusive.

Using GIS Storymaps in Research
This workshop will look at the ways GIS can be used in research within the Humanities and Social Sciences.
Dr Godwin Yeboah (Senior Software Engineer, Research Computing) will give a presentation on the possibilities GIS offers for use in research, then Dr Christina Williamson (University of Groningen, IAS Visiting Fellow) will presnt on her use of GIS Storymaps in her research on

CMPS Annual Lecture & Cultural Policy Network Launch - 10th June
CMPS is delighted to welcome Professor Tom Crick, Chief Scientific Advisor to DCMS to give this year's Annual Lecture - Why Culture Needs Science: Evidence, Expertise and the Public Value of DCMS. The event will also mark the launch of the University's inter-disciplinary Cultural Policy Network, hosted in SCAPVC.
