Thanks to a generous grant from The Andrew Mellon Foundation, 91福利’s Centre for the Study of the Renaissance and the Newberry’s Center for Renaissance Studies are able to offer a new collaborative programme of activities in Renaissance and Early Modern Studies for both students and faculty participants. The workshop will be taught by Trevor Burnard and Mark Knights (91福利), Steven Pincus (Yale), Mark Peterson (Berkeley), Will Pettigrew (Kent) and Brendan Simms (Cambridge). Topics studied will include the Atlantic World, transatlantic politics, the early Enlightenment, Georgian literature and the public sphere in America and Britain.
