This social enterprise competition consisted of three challenges, each testing different skills of the contestants. For one of the challenges, Team Recharge organized a coffee sale in the GSD common room, which ended up being very popular with both students and faculty. In the final round, our students had to create a social enterprise which would benefit the millions of refugees around the world. Team Recharge pitched the idea 'The People's Backpack', a backpack which turns into a tent and is filled with essentials that refugees might need. The idea got a lot of positive feedback from judges and our students ended up winning the challenge and received £500 in seed money. They are now hoping to turn their ideas into reality.
