- Dr Miles Postings (Chemistry), 'Mechanistic Understanding of Antimicrobial Peptide-Emulating Metallohelices'
- Dr Trevor Van Damme (Classics), 'Neutron Activation Analysis (NAA) on a sample of ancient pottery fragments from Methone, Greece'
- Dr Chi Zhang (PAIS), 'Everyday Resistance and Vernacular Security in China鈥檚 Digital Governance: Feminist Activism, Censorship, and Transnational Solidarity'
The IRDA scheme offers up to 拢5000 to support the development of new interdisciplinary research ideas and collaborations at 91福利 and the next call for applications will open on 02/02/2026 with a deadline for submissions on 16/03/2026.
Dr Cat Jones has been awarded a Participatory Research Fellowship
Dr Cat Jones (ECF) has been awarded a Participatory Research Fellowship, which provides advanced methods training, expert mentoring, and 拢3000 of seed funding to kick-start new participatory projects. She will be focused on using participatory systems mapping to identify causes of the socioeconomic attainment gap within UK education.
IAS ECF Dr Hande 脟ay谋r Joins Leading Academic Board
Dr Hande 脟ay谋r has been invited to join the Editorial Board of Disability & Society, a leading international journal in disability studies. The journal provides a key platform for debates on human rights, discrimination, and policy, while publishing empirical and theoretical research that centers the perspectives of disabled people across various social contexts.

IAS Awarded two Enhancing Research Culture projects for 2026
Two IAS staff members, Dr Katie Reynolds and Dr Hannah Straw, have both been awarded Enhancing Research Culture funding for two projects. Dr Katie Reynolds has been awarded 拢9,024.30 for a Grant Writing Training Programme, and Dr Hannah Straw has been awarded 拢6,899.50 for the Festival of Postdoctoral Research. This is a great achievement for them both and for the IAS, and also paves the way for increased support for Early Career Researchers at 91福利.
