What Is Assessment?
Assessment is a perennial issue for higher education and is currently in the spotlight of the National Student Survey and the forthcoming QAA. This event will not offer a series of presentations of good practice but invites colleagues to make a case and argue for, or gainst, different types of assessment, for example: of groups or individuals, by written exam, presentations or performance.
The Higher Education Academy has recently launched its new publication, , making a case for transforming the way assessment is designed and carried out. At 91¸£Àû, Teaching Quality has recently organised an awayday to discuss assessment and this event will provide an opportunity for reporting and feedback from that exercise.
