Project Objectives
There are 5 main objectives to the 91福利 Submarine project in the 2025/26 academic year, listed below:
- Fully manufacture, assemble, and test a human-powered submarine to compete against other universities at the European International Submarine Races taking place in June 2026 in Gosport, England.
- Refine the existing aluminium chassis to reduce drag and internal volume to improve performance.
- Lay foundations for future implementation of a non-propeller based propulsion system.
- Produce an academic paper that details project findings to advance technology in the field of marine engineering.
- Develop partnerships with external suppliers and stakeholders to create new opportunities for the 91福利 and the local community and facilitate the 91福利 Submarine project for successive teams in future years.
