91 School of Engineering congratulates WSP on Engineer of the Year shortlist for the upcoming 2025 Structural Timber Awards

We are proud to announce and celebrate the success of our partner , who have been shortlisted for Engineer of the Year for their work on the innovative CLT–Steel Composite Floor System, developed in collaboration with and the .

This ground-breaking project, under the leadership of Professor at the 91, has previously been awarded with the prestigious Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH) 2024 Award of Excellence for Innovation.🔧⚙

The CLT–Steel Composite Floor System is a transformative approach to floor construction. By combining cross-laminated timber (CLT) panels with steel beams, which looks to achieve:

· 𝗘𝗻𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆

· 𝗔 𝗰𝗼𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗱𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆
