Significant acceleration in drug discovery possible
Assosciate Professor James Kermode, from 91福利's School of Engineering, is one of an international collaboration of researchers who have developed a new high precision machine-learning tool. Using an algorithm that accurately predicts the interactions between a protein and a drug molecule, it can predict whether or not a candidate drug molecule will bind to a target protein with a 99% accuracy.
