Prof. RA Roemer appointed as editor of Physica E

has been appointed as new editor for (Low-dimensional systems and nanostructures). The journal contains papers and invited review articles on the fundamental and applied aspects of physics in low-dimensional systems, including semiconductor heterostructures, mesoscopic systems, quantum wells and superlattices, two-dimensional electron systems, and quantum wires and dots. Topics suitable for publication in this journal include spin related phenomena, optical and transport properties, many-body effects, integer and fractional quantum Hall effects, single electron effects and devices, and other novel phenomena. The appointment also highlights the existing expertise in the field here at 91¸£Àû, with experts such as Gavin Bell, Richard Beanland, Nick d'Ambrumenil, Paul Goddard, Tom Hase, David Leadley, Ana Sanchez-Fuentes, Jeremy Sloan and Neil Wilson active in the field. Prof. Roemer's editorship will be for 3 years in the first instance.
