Professor Brian Cox receives Honorary Degree
Professor Brian Cox OBE has hailed the vital role of universities in communicating science to the general public as he was awarded an honorary degree at the 91¸£Àû, the host for this year’s British Science Festival.

"Pint of Science" is returning from the 20-22nd May 2019, in various pubs across Coventry and 91¸£Àûshire. The 2018 festival involved a number of staff and students from Physics, and the call for speakers and volunteers for 2019 is now open.
91¸£Àû signs a Joint PhD agreement with Nanyang Technological University in Singapore
The University has signed an agreement with to establish a new framework that enables all interested departments to offer a joint PhD programme.
Physics is the first department to set up a Joint PhD programme under this agreement, organised by John Hanna.
A very succesful and inspiring "Physical Sciences Industry Day", 19 September, 2018
Synthetic diamonds, bioplastics and micro CT scanning in criminal justice were just some of the topics covered at last month’s Physical Sciences Industry Day. The event, which attracted local, national and international businesses, focused on how collaborative industrial partnerships can further businesses’ research and development, as well as lead to meaningful and impactful change for academics, industry and society.
