Events in Physics
The Wellcome Trust invites applications for its collaborative awards in science. These support groups of independent researchers pursuing problems across the areas of science, humanities and social science and innovation. Proposals must address important scientific problems that can only be achieved through a collaborative team effort.
Teams should normally consist of no more than seven applicants. Interdisciplinary research collaborations between basic scientists or medical and veterinary clinicians, and non-biologists, such as mathematicians, physicists, chemists, engineers and social scientists, are encouraged.
Awards are normally worth up to £4 million over a period of up to five years. Funding may be used to cover research expenses, travel and subsistence, overseas allowances, research management and support costs.
