The Leverhulme Trust invites applications for its research fellowships. These enable experienced researchers to conduct a programme of research in any discipline. Exception to area of interest includes research that is of direct relevance to studies of disease, illness and disabilities in humans and animals, as well as research that intends to inform clinical practice or the development of medical applications.
Applicants must be resident in the UK at the time of application, and must be able to demonstrate experience and academic background sufficient to confirm their ability to complete the proposed research. They may not be registered for a degree, for doctoral studies, or for professional or vocational qualifications. Awards are not limited to those holding appointments in higher education.
Fellowships are worth up to £50,000 each for a period between three and 24 months. Funding covers research expenses, and a contribution towards replacement costs or loss of earnings.
