The magnetic field of planet-hosting stars

Abstract
The study of the star-planet interaction phenomenon, of which Earth's polar aurorae are the most beautiful evidence, is one of the major driver in the extra-solar planet research field. Various aspects of this phenomenon has already been studied, but never on the point of view of the stellar dynamo at work in solar-type stars. Is there a connection between large-scale stellar magnetic fields and the presence of planets?
I will present the results of a systematic magnetic field search in stars hosting planets of various nature, which on a long term will have a large impact on our understanding of the Sun, and of the Earth's climate as a consequence.
