CMP seminar - Sarah Haigh
In this talk I will present some of the recent results concerning the high resolution imaging and analysis of nanostructured materials. I will discuss how we can correlate mobility variation and ion-irradiation induced defects with structural changes in suspended graphene and graphene-BN devices. I will demonstrate high resolution imaging and elemental analysis using energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDXS) in our new Titan "ChemiSTEM" scanning transmission electron microscope (STEM) and show that using the Titan it is now possible to obtain atomic resolution X-ray elemental maps in complex oxides, to reconstruct full elemental information in three dimensions for mixed metal nanoparticles and even to perform elemental mapping of nanostructures suspended in liquid.
