The Science and Technology Facilities Council invites applications for business support from the ESA business incubation centre – Harwell campus. This offers start-up companies an incubation package that enables them to exploit the scientific excellence and opportunities available at the Harwell campus, including one-to-one coaching and peer support, a programme of business support workshops and access to the STFC’s scientific and technical expertise, equipment and facilities. Areas where this can be accessed include:
•electrical engineering, including control systems, data systems, electromagnetics and space environment, power and energy conversion, and payload systems;
•mechanical engineering, including thermal structures, mechatronics and optics, and propulsion and aerothermodynamics;
•product assurance and safety, including, components, materials and processes, quality, dependability and safety, and requirements and standards;
•systems and software, including software systems, and systems and engineering support.
