Events in Physics
The Brazilian State Funding Agencies, articulated by its National Council (CONFAP), and the UK Academies, under the Newton Fund, invite applications for their young investigator award. This provides young investigators from the UK with the opportunity to start a research career in a university or research institution in S茫o Paulo.
Applicants must hold a PhD and a permanent academic post or postdoctoral positions in the UK which extends beyond the period of the award. Young researchers must be within two to seven years from their PhD.
The award includes a monthly scholarship of BRL 8,152.20 for up to four years, or until the researcher obtains a permanent position in a university or research institute in S茫o Paulo. The award also includes equipment, consumables, services, and travel necessary to the research project.
