Events in Physics
The American Physical Society invites nominations for the George E Duvall shock compression science award. This recognises contributions to understanding condensed matter and non-linear physics through shock compression.
All members of the scientific community may be nominated. Qualified women, members of underrepresented minority groups and scientists from outside the US are especially encouraged for nomination.
The award includes a cash prize of USD 5,000 and a travel allowance to the APS meeting where the award will be presented
