Events in Physics
The Royal Society invites applications for its pairing scheme. This enables scientists to gain insight into how the parliament and government work, and how to use research findings to inform policy making. The aim is to network with parliamentarians and civil servants during a week in Westminster, to be held from 25 to 29 November, 2018.
Scientists across all science, technology, engineering, medicine and mathematics disciplines working in academia or industry are eligible to apply. They must have at least two years鈥� postdoctoral research experience or equivalent research experience in industry. Applicants should also be able to demonstrate good communication skills and an ability to communicate their research to a lay audience.
The scheme includes 30 research scientists in each round.
