The Royal Academy of Engineering invites applications for its Royal Commission for the Exhibition of 1851 enterprise fellowship. This encourages and rewards creativity and innovation in engineering by identifying and supporting the founders and leaders of tomorrow’s high-tech companies. The aim is to:

•bring engineering innovations to market for a wider public benefit;

•improve the skills of the awardee;

•develop role models of entrepreneurship;

•develop a wider alumni network to further the aims of the hub.

Applicants may be postdoctoral researcher at a UK-based university wishing to spin-out a company, or recent graduates wishing to create a company in the UK. Recent graduates must have graduated within the last five years.

Each award includes funding worth up to £60,000, mentoring from an academy fellow, 12 days of business training, public relations support, access to the academy’s network and to the entreprise hub meeting facilities, as well as membership of the entreprise hub.
