The European Commission Horizon 2020: Excellent Science European Research Council invites proposals for its ERC-2019-AdG advanced grants. These support established researchers with long-term funding for innovative, high-risk projects.
Researchers in any field and of any nationality, with significant research achievements in the last ten years, may apply as principal investigators in conjunction with and on behalf of a host institution. Host institutions may be public or private research organisations established as legal entities in an EU member state or associated country. Applicants do not have to be employed at the host institution at the time of submitted proposal.
Grants are worth up to 鈧�2.5 million each over five years. Grants cover 100 per cent of eligible direct costs as well as 25 per cent of the total eligible indirect costs. An additional grant of 鈧�1m may be requested for start up costs of moving to the EU or an associated country, or to cover the costs of major equipment and access to large facilities.
