Science and Technology Facilities Council, GBThis aims to produce highly trained PhD graduates with advanced and widely applicable skills in data intensive science. Grants provide support for a stipend, fees, and a travel and research training support grant. Any UK university or consortium of universities may apply to host the centre. Funding will be provided for five new studentships a year for three years of student intake. The centre is expected to provide at least an additional two new studentships per year over the same period from other funding sources. The Laue-Langevin Institute invites proposals for its beamtime allocation. This enables researchers to access the next round of three cycles in 2016, one of which will be reduced power.
