How do I use this calendar?

You can click on an event to display further information about it.

The toolbar above the calendar has buttons to view different events. Use the left and right arrow icons to view events in the past and future. The button inbetween returns you to today's view. The button to the right of this shows a mini-calendar to let you quickly jump to any date.

The dropdown box on the right allows you to see a different view of the calendar, such as an agenda or a termly view.

If this calendar has tags, you can use the labelled checkboxes at the top of the page to select just the tags you wish to view, and then click "Show selected". The calendar will be redisplayed with just the events related to these tags, making it easier to find what you're looking for.

The Royal Society, in collaboration with Rolls-Royce, invites applications for its industry fellowships. These enable academic scientists to work on collaborative projects with industry, and for scientists in industry who want to work on a collaborative project with an academic organisation. The aim is to enhance knowledge transfer in science and technology between those in industry and those in academia in the UK. The scheme covers all subjects within the life and physical sciences, including engineering but excluding clinical medicine.

Applicants must have a PhD or be of equivalent standing in their profession, and hold a permanent post in a university, non-profit research organisation or industry in the UK. Applications involving spin-offs or small companies are encouraged.

Fellowships support a period of up to two years full-time and cover fellows’ basic salary during the secondment as well as research expenses of up to £2,000 per year.
