How do I use this calendar?

You can click on an event to display further information about it.

The toolbar above the calendar has buttons to view different events. Use the left and right arrow icons to view events in the past and future. The button inbetween returns you to today's view. The button to the right of this shows a mini-calendar to let you quickly jump to any date.

The dropdown box on the right allows you to see a different view of the calendar, such as an agenda or a termly view.

If this calendar has tags, you can use the labelled checkboxes at the top of the page to select just the tags you wish to view, and then click "Show selected". The calendar will be redisplayed with just the events related to these tags, making it easier to find what you're looking for.

STFC Leadership Fellows in Public Engagement undertake high quality programmes of engagement and outreach while concurrently acting as champions for the value and practice of engagement with research in their host institution and research community.
1.1.1 STEM engagement activities

Proposed engagement programmes must clearly focus around the remit of the STFC science programme (astronomy, solar and planetary science, particle physics, particle astrophysics, cosmology, nuclear physics and accelerator science) or clearly and demonstrably align to the science and technology work of STFC鈥檚 national and international laboratories and facilities.

Fellowships will not be awarded unless there is a strong and demonstrable link between the proposed activities and STFC science and technology.
1.1.2 Demonstrating leadership & capacity building

STFC intends Leadership Fellows in Public Engagement to play a prominent role in raising the standards of public engagement – either in their host department, institution, and/or wider research community, and to champion the value of public engagement with research.

A substantial proportion of time (at least 25%) of every Leadership Fellowship application must be dedicated to activities the applicant considers to be dedicated to leadership and capacity building. Applicants are required to propose activities tailored to their working environment or community networks, and explain why such approaches are appropriate. Where evidence exists as to an institution or community鈥檚 existing attitudes towards engagement, this should be cited to present a strong case.
