The Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council, in collaboration with the Natural Environment Research Council and the Economic and Social Research Council, with support from the Arts and Humanities Research Council, invites proposals for their call for networks on decision making and uncertainty. This supports the creation of up to two networks of researchers from different disciplines relating to the topic of decision making under uncertainty, and includes support for feasibility projects. EOI midday 27th June full proposal 21st July The aim is to develop and build widespread linkages between disciplines related to the theme of the call and grow a multi-disciplinary community in this space. The networks will be expected to work with user organisations. Proposals may address the following topics: algorithms, data science, decision making, sensors, forecasting, risk management, financial regulation, consumer behaviour, heuristics, macroeconomic modelling, multi-scale or multi-physics modelling, engineering design, visualisation, large scale manufacturing, safety and security threats, climate change, energy challenges and natural hazards. |

Workshop grants bring together early-career resarchers from the UK and a partner country to make international connections that can improve the quality fo their research. Bilateral workshops proposed between Uk and BRAZIL, EQYPT, INDIA, TURKEY, SOUTH AFRICA and VIETNAM and perhaps MEXICO in due course Trilateral workshops bring together early career researchers from the UK and two partner countries - specific partners for this are BRAZIL and URUGUAY. Travel Grants for early career researchers to undertake an international research placement to strengthen link for future collaboration: eligible countries are COLOMBIA, EQYPT, INDONESIA, KAZAKHSTAN and TURKEY Institutional Links grants aim to build UK-partner country research and innovation collaborations centred on shared research and innovation challenges which have direct relevance to social welfare and economic development. Eligiblke countires - UK with BRAZIL, EQYPT, INDONESIA, KAZAKHSTAN, PHILIPPINES, THAILAND and possibly MEXICO later. |
