How do I use this calendar?

You can click on an event to display further information about it.

The toolbar above the calendar has buttons to view different events. Use the left and right arrow icons to view events in the past and future. The button inbetween returns you to today's view. The button to the right of this shows a mini-calendar to let you quickly jump to any date.

The dropdown box on the right allows you to see a different view of the calendar, such as an agenda or a termly view.

If this calendar has tags, you can use the labelled checkboxes at the top of the page to select just the tags you wish to view, and then click "Show selected". The calendar will be redisplayed with just the events related to these tags, making it easier to find what you're looking for.

Pre-outline, outline and full application stages. There are no deadlines and meetings to consider outlines are held every 2 months.

Programme Grants are a flexible mechanism to provide funding to world-leading research groups to address significant major research challenges. They are intended to support a variety of activities focussing on one strategic research theme. Although it is expected that most proposals will be interdisciplinary and collaborative they can address key challenges in a single discipline.

Applicants must discuss their suitability for Programme Grant funding with an identified EPSRC contact before submitting an Outline application.

The Science and Technology Facilities Council invites applications for its innovations partnership scheme. This aims to transfer technology and expertise developed through STFC funding to the marketplace in partnership with industry and other academic disciplines.

Applicants must collaborate with a partner. Lead applicants must be employed within a university academic group previously or be currently funded by the STFC, and should show that their work will develop technologies or expertise from STFC-funded projects. Higher education institutions, research councils, the European Synchrotron Radiation Facility, CERN and the European Southern Observatory may apply as lead partners. Industrial and non-profit organisations may also apply in collaboration with a lead academic partner.

Grants are worth up to £150,000 per year for up to three years

The Science and Technology Facilities Council invites applications for its follow-on funding scheme. This provides financial support at the very early or pre-seed stage of turning research outputs into a commercial proposition. This may be used for:

•undertaking further scientific and technical development of an idea;

•improving an intellectual property position;

•gaining further information about the market for the new products or process;

•identifying potential licensees or opportunities for joint ventures.

Lead applicants must be employed within a research organisation group previously or currently funded by the STFC, and should show that their work will develop technologies or expertise from STFC funded projects. The lead research organisation must be an approved UK HEI, research council institute or independent research organisation.

Grants are worth up to £88,000 each over one year at 80 per cent full economic cost.
