How do I use this calendar?

The dropdown box on the right allows you to see a different view of the calendar, such as an agenda or a termly view.

If this calendar has tags, you can use the labelled checkboxes at the top of the page to select just the tags you wish to view, and then click "Show selected". The calendar will be redisplayed with just the events related to these tags, making it easier to find what you're looking for.

The International Astronomical Union’s Office of Astronomy for Development invites proposals for its call for projects. This funds projects that use astronomy as a tool to address an issue related to sustainable development, in the areas of astronomy for universities and research, astronomy for children and schools, and astronomy for the public.

Applicants may be from anywhere in the world. One or more project deliverables should be ready by the end of the year.

The budget for this call is approximately €110,000, with funding usually worth between €500 and €15,000 per project.

The Australian Academy of Science invites nominations for the Selby fellowship. This enables overseas scientists to visit Australia for public lecture or seminar tours, and to visit scientific centres in Australia. Fellows are expected to increase public awareness of science and scientific issues and be outstanding lecturers to the general lay public. Visits to as many areas of Australia as possible, including Western Australia, are encouraged.

Distinguished overseas scientists, who have a strong public lecturing abilities, may be nominated.

The fellowship is worth up to AUD 15,000 and covers economy airfares and living expenses over visits of two weeks to three months
