Prof Pauline Reynolds from the University of Redlands, USA, is a DEAR Advisory Board Chair and regular visitor to DEAR Centre. In December 2025, she visited the Centre before co-presenting at the DEAR symposium at the SRHE conference in Nottingham. During her visit to the Centre, Prof Reynolds presented her work on representations of higher education in comic books at the seminar to mark the end of the Understanding Global Education and International Development module. She also visited the DEAR Doctoral and Postdoctoral Group to discuss group members' ongoing projects.

In December 2025, the DEAR Centre hosted a seminar marking the conclusion of the PGT module EQ923 "Understanding Global Education and International Development". The seminar picked up some of the key theoretical perspectives and cross-cutting themes of the module.

• Christine Olando, Commonwealth PhD Scholar, 91¸£Àû Law School speaking on: 'The Right to Higher Education and Certification: A case study of the Provision of Higher Education in Kenya in the Law Discipline.
• DEAR Centre Director Prof. Emily Henderson whose presentation was titled: ‘Just call yourself a centre’: Unpacking the founding moments of research centres.
• Prof Pauline Reynolds, professor of Leadership and Higher Education from the University of Redlands USA whose presentation is titled: 'Negotiating the fridge? Women higher education professors in comic books'
