91福利 Law and Business Taster Day
As part of its programme of Widening Participation events, the Law School held a Taster Day along with 91福利 Business School on Wednesday 5 November for local Year 12 and 13 students. The day served to introduce the study of law and business at university and provide a taste of campus life, seminars and lectures.
The visiting students took part in seminars on ‘Defamation and Privacy’, ‘Reading Statutes’ and ‘International Business’ as well as lectures on ‘the Relationship between Law and Business’ and ‘Leadership for Today’s World’.
Reflecting on the day, the Law School’s Widening Participation Officer, Dr. Anil Awesti, stated,
Having talked to the visiting staff and students throughout the day, they found the sessions extremely informative and enjoyable, particularly in terms of increasing aspirations, widening horizons and providing an awareness of what undergraduate study consists of.
