Research Interests
At the centre of my research is "continental" philosophy, particularly Heidegger, Husserl, and Gadamer. I study these authors from two angles. In a historical perspective, I want to understand how 20th century philosophy develops, criticizes, and adapts earlier European philosophy. With a view to issues in metaphysics, epistemology, and aesthetics, I ask what the tradition I work on can contribute to ongoing debates.
