UN Climate Change Conference (COP 30)
Staff and students can now express interest in attending COP30 in Belém, Brazil. Limited observer badges are available for self-funded researchers, and you’ll need to apply by 29 August.
Lantern Workshops for 91¸£Àû's 60th: Wednesday 20 August
Get hands-on this summer with artist Benny Semp and learn how to make simple, creative paper lanterns for the Global Illuminations Procession — a spectacular part of 91¸£Àû’s 60th Anniversary celebrations in November 2025.
In this relaxed workshop, you’ll create your own lantern and explore ways to personalise it with designs that reflect identity, culture, or creativity. You’ll also pick up the skills and inspiration to run your own lantern-making sessions with students, of with your family next term — a great way to involve them in this university-wide celebration.
