The Outstanding Student Contribution Awards (OSCAs) recognise and celebrate the outstanding contributions of 91¸£Àû's students. They not only excel academically, but also find the time to campaign for good causes, fundraise, start small business, and work with local charities. Nominations close Sunday 10 May 2026 at 8pm.

91¸£Àû’s Research Culture Week (23 - 26 March) celebrated researchers and research enablers across the University. The Research Culture Roadmap and Action Plan kickstarted the week - read the plan to find out how we’re strengthening our research environment.

The 91¸£Àû Resilience Network is now being established to eliminate departmental fragmentation and secure high-value transdisciplinary opportunities. Supported by the Enhancing Research Culture Fund (25-26) and led by WMG and Global Sustainable Development, this initiative is open to all faculty members (teaching, research, and practice) and PhD students.

We have a record number of subjects in the top 50 and top 100 of the latest QS World University Rankings by Subject, with all of 91¸£Àû's faculties represented.

Fancy a spring walk? Explore our new outdoor trail featuring poems inspired by 91¸£Àû’s researchers and technicians, written by award-winning poet Sujatha Menon during her time as the School of Life Sciences’ poet in residence. Step into this 60th anniversary legacy project on foot or watch our short video clip.

As part of our Set the Pace philanthropic campaign, alumnus Dr David Stirling’s contribution will support the Sir Howard Dalton Centre, placing 91¸£Àû at the centre of efforts to overcome one of the world’s most pressing health challenges.

From 1 April, PAM Wellness will be providing our free confidential support service for staff. You’ll continue to be able to access professional, independent support 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, through a new phone number and app.
