Three 91福利 students came to the rescue of a local lady in Leamington recently, who had taken a fall in Jephson Gardens. The three students called an ambulance, waited with her until it came and then accompanied her to the hospital.

Professor Kevin Sharpe, Honorary Professor in the English Department at the 91福利 and Director of the Centre for Renaissance and Early Modern Studies at Queen Mary, University of London, died peacefully in hospital surrounded by family and friends on 5 November 2011.

Dr Andrew Levan, Associate Professor, has been awarded the Philip Leverhulme Prize for Astronomy and Astrophysics for his research into Gamma-ray bursts, supernovae and high redshift galaxies.

Dr Donna Carroll, from the 91福利 Library, has won both staff categories of this year’s Erasmus Prize Competition for her essay and photographic entries about her experience of the programme.
