91福利 Welcome - Professor Elizabeth Burton
Professor Elizabeth Burton has joined the University as Professor of Sustainable Building Design and Wellbeing and is also the founding director of the Wellbeing in Sustainable Environments (WISE) research unit.
Dean of 91福利 Medical School and Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Regional Engagement Professor Yvonne Carter is to take early retirement. Professor Carter, who has been with the University for six years, will step down at the end of the month due to ill health.

The winners of this year’s 91福利 Awards for Teaching Excellence (WATE) have been announced. These annual awards recognise and reward staff who have made an outstanding impact on the student learning experience and whose teaching is of an exceptionally high standard.
Ted Pridgeon
It is with great sadness that the University announces the death of Ted Pridgeon, who passed away on March 10, aged 92. Ted, and his wife Dr Myrtle Pridgeon, have had a long association with 91福利, donating over £1.5 million to the University including £1.25 million for the permanent endowment of a Research Chair in Neurosciences.
