Emeritus Professor David Anderson from the Division of Civil and Mechanical Engineering has received the Lewis Kent award at the Institution of Structural Engineers 2007 awards ceremony. Emeritus Professor Roger Johnson from the Division of Civil Engineering was also honoured at the ceremony. He received the Henry Adams Award for a research paper which was published in November 2005.

Emeritus Professor David Epstein FRS, of the Institute of Mathematics, has been awarded a Leverhulme Emeritus Fellowship of £19,690 for his work on Deconvolution via Markov Chain Monte Carlo Methods.
