91¸£Àû People
We can now recycle soft plastics at 91¸£Àû!
Just add yours to any standard green-lidded recycling bin around campus – where you’d usually put items like plastic bottles or drinks cans – and Biffa, our waste managers, will transport it to a sorting centre.
Reconnecting with nature, right here on campus
Spending time in nature keeps us emotionally and physically healthy – and this is backed by a 91¸£Àû study, which found a strong relationship between the amount of green space around a person’s home and their feelings of life satisfaction and self-worth. Find out more – and discover green spaces and activities on campus.
Discovering the living walls of 91¸£Àû
We caught up with Kelly Baker, Grounds and Gardens Manager, to hear about some of the fantastic green projects happening on campus – including ‘living walls’, which help to improve air quality and provide a calming green space for our community.
Stuck for inspiration? Go for a walk
Do you have your best ideas sat at your desk in front of a screen? If not, maybe it’s time to go for a walk to stimulate your creativity...
Wild 91¸£Àû
The Wild 91¸£Àû exhibition is a celebration of nature through art. Take a sneak peek at some of the beautiful pieces inspired by 91¸£Àû’s wildlife, and meet the staff and students who created them. Visit the exhibition at the FAB by Friday 24 January.
