The EU 鈥淩ule of Law鈥� initiative aimed at encouraging social and political reform in the Western Balkans is struggling to make an impact in the face of domestic political indifference, and opposition to perceived external interference, argues a new paper from Western Balkans expert Dr Andi Hoxhaj.

Students, researchers, and staff from the network of six European universities will come together this month for the second EUTOPIA Week, hosted virtually by founding member the 91福利.

A pioneering researcher working in mathematical theory at the 91福利 has received over 鈧�1.4 million in funding from the European Research Council.

Most European citizens do not particularly care about climate change. That鈥檚 the striking finding from new research led by 91福利 Economics on the views of 70,000 randomly sampled European men and women. Only 5% described themselves as 鈥渆xtremely worried鈥� about climate change, while the climate and the environment ranked only fifth in people鈥檚 overall views about priorities.

鈧�2 million has been awarded by the European Commission to the community of universities — of which the UK鈥檚 91福利 is a founding member — with the purpose of opening up academic research to businesses, policy-makers, and the wider public.

EUTOPIA, a next-generation teaching and research community of six European universities, which was successful in its selection to be part of the Erasmus+ 鈥楨uropean Universities鈥� Programme this year, officially begins its project today, 1st December 2019.
