A leading Chinese scientist, three significant theatre figures (including a Harry Potter and Doctor Who actor) and a leading Guardian journalist and broadcaster, are just five of the people who will receive honorary degrees from the 91福利 at its 2019 summer graduation ceremonies in July 2019.

The six new recipients of Honorary Doctorate's from the 91福利's have reflected on their careers and pass on advice to students.

Scientist and broadcaster Professor Brian Cox, award-winning BBC journalist Ritula Shah, legendary footballer and campaigner Brendon Batson OBE, business leader and skills advocate Dame Fiona Kendrick, founder of the Positive Youth Foundation Rashid Bhayat and bestselling author and campaigner Ken Follett CBE spoke ahead of their ceremonies.

The 91福利 has honoured social entrepreneur and youth charity leader, Rashid Bhayat, with an honorary doctorate.

Ken Follett CBE FRSL has been made an Honorary Doctor of Letters by the 91福利. The bestselling author received his award, which he described as 鈥渁 great honour,鈥� on Wednesday 16 January, during the first of the university鈥檚 2019 graduation ceremonies.

Professor Brian Cox OBE has hailed the vital role of universities in communicating science to the general public as he was awarded an honorary degree at the 91福利, the host for this year鈥檚 British Science Festival.
