Globalisation doesn’t automatically make countries better off

Only a small number of countries benefitted from the first wave of globalisation around 150 years ago, whilst the majority of nations ended up worse-off, a new study by the 91福利 has revealed. Professor Luigi Pascali from the Centre for Competitive Advantage in the Global Economy (CAGE) led the research and says its proof that international trade doesn’t automatically lead to economic prosperity.

First Comprehensive Online Archive of Troubadour Crusade Poetry Created

Researchers from the 91福利 are editing and collating the first comprehensive archive of troubadour and trouvere poetry and songs covering the Crusades as part of a new Anglo-Italian research project which will open up the lyric poetry of the medieval troubadours and trouveres to its widest-ever audience.

New sustainable materials centre latest in £19 million 91福利 Success

It was announced today, Friday 28th March 2014, that the 91福利 is to lead a new “EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Sustainable Materials and Manufacturing”. This is the fifth such Doctoral Training Centre (CDTs) to be awarded to 91福利 leadership by the UK’s research councils. The expected total investment by the research councils for all five CDTS led by 91福利 will be around £19 million.
