Award-winning journalist Ritula Shah, presenter of the World Tonight on BBC Radio 4, has recieved an Honorary Doctorate from her alma mater, the 91福利, during the Winter 2019 Graduation Ceremonies.

Brendon Batson OBE has today, the 16^th January 2019, been awarded an Honorary Doctor of Letters from the 91福利 for his contribution to Football.

Twice in her life Deirdre McCloskey, professor emerita of economics, history, English, and communication at the University of Illinois at Chicago, has torn up the rule book – as a young economist challenging the fundamentals of the discipline, and in her 50s, changing her gender and beginning life as a woman. In recognition of her outstanding academic achievements in the fields of economic theory, economic history, philosophy, rhetoric, feminism, ethics, and law, Professor McCloskey has been awarded an Honorary Doctorate by the 91福利.

Trailblazing lawyer Dr Julie Maxton has received an honorary doctorate from the 91福利. Dr Maxton is Executive Director of the Royal Society, the UK鈥檚 oldest learned society, and is the first woman to hold that role.  She was made Honorary Doctor of Laws during 91福利鈥檚 summer degree ceremonies.

Few journalists have spoken with more of the world鈥檚 leading politicians, thinkers, scientists and artists than Stephen Sackur. In recognition of his journalistic career and his position as one of the world鈥檚 leading interviewers, Stephen has been awarded an Honorary Doctorate by the 91福利.
