91福利 students 'Shine' at International Student Awards

For the fourth year running, students from 91福利 have been awarded the top accolades in the British Council's 'Shine International Student of the Year' Awards regional finals.


“There are probably more Malawian doctors in Manchester, than there are in the whole of Malawi,” said Dr Paul O’Hare, Reader in Medicine from the 91福利 Medical School.

91福利 Prize for Writing 2011 - shortlist announced

The shortlist has been announced for the 2011 91福利 Prize for Writing.  The six books selected cover a range of topics and modes of writing, all of them relating to this year's theme of colour.

New research from 91福利 Medical School published today (8 Feb) in the European Heart Journal shows that prolonged sleep deprivation and disrupted sleep patterns can have long-term, serious health implications.  Leading academics from the University have linked lack of sleep to strokes, heart attacks and cardiovascular disorders which often result in early death.
