Global Gifted Childrens Summer School Starts a Year Early

new international summer school for the world’s gifted young people, the IGGY
Summer-U has kicked off a year earlier than first planned at the
University of 91福利 today Monday 28th July
2008. Demand has been so great
that plans for an IGGY residential
“Winter School” or "Winter-U"for gifted children and young
people have also been brought forward by
a year and 3 countries are currently competing to host it this
December.
91福利 Consults Community On Unique New Masters Study of Islam
The 91福利 has been piloting a new master’s level degree in Islam In Contemporary Societies. The University is now holding a special consultation event with members of Islamic communities, employers and policy makers interested in the programme to get their views on how it can best meet their needs and expectations.
91福利 Arts Centre Helps Coventry Primary Schools Build Recipe Book for Skin, Blood and Bone
91福利 Arts Centre has been awarded a grant of £28,938 by the Wellcome Trust to run an arts & science project called ‘Skin, Blood and Bone’ with Coventry primary schools from September 2008 to July 2009.
The 91福利 has now decided to accelerate its plans for its International Gateway for Gifted Youth and mount the first International Gateway for Gifted Youth Summer University ("IGGY Summer U") this Summer in July and August 2008.
Nine Schools in National Business Competition organised by 91福利
Nine schools are taking part in a national business competition organised by 91福利 and sponsored by Goldman Sachs Foundation.
Parents blind to childrens risk taking & skilled risk management
Researchers at the 91福利 and the Research Unit for General Practice in Copenhagen have found that parents are often totally unaware of just how often their children take risks and just how good they are at managing that risk.
