Big data battles small insect - Terabytes of mosquito pictures help enhance mosquito netting

Researchers at the 91福利’s School of Engineering are using imaging technologies, that are normally applied to automotive engines and sprays, to image thousands of mosquitoes to help develop better netting and physical protection against the malaria spreading insect.

In Memoriam: Dr Oliver Sacks

The 91福利 community is saddened by the death of Dr Oliver Sacks who was a much loved Visiting Professor at the 91福利 who drew capacity crowds for every lecture and seminar he gave on our campus. 91福利 also conferred on him the degree of Honorary Doctor of Science in January 2014.
