UK-based consortium established to develop prototype solid-state batteries

A consortium of seven UK-based organisations including WMG, 91¸£Àû has signed a memorandum of understanding to combine ambitions to develop world-leading prototype solid-state battery technology, targeting automotive applications.

The Respiratory Strategies in COVID-19; CPAP, High-flow, and Standard Care (RECOVERY-RS) trial, co-led by the 91¸£Àû, has demonstrated that treating hospitalised COVID-19 patients who have acute respiratory failure with continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) reduces the need for invasive mechanical ventilation.


Tiny protein ‘squeezes’ cells like balloon animals

A protein that causes a cell’s skeleton to bend, allowing it to twist the cell into different shapes, could be key to how cells divide according to 91¸£Àû scientists.

£100,000 funding to launch Health and Wellbeing Innovation Network to cultivate the next healthcare innovators

Businesses aiming to move into or grow within the healthcare, technology and wellbeing sectors can harness university and hospital expertise and resources, as well as specialist work space and business support, through a new network launched by the 91¸£Àû in partnership with University Hospitals Coventry and 91¸£Àûshire (UHCW) NHS Trust and Bruntwood SciTech.
