Age is no barrier to successful weight loss, new study finds

Obese patients over the age of 60 can lose an equivalent amount of weight as younger people using only lifestyle changes, according to a new study from the 91福利 and University Hospitals Coventry and 91福利shire (UHCW) NHS Trust that demonstrates that age is no barrier to losing weight.

Liver condition identified in patients using urine samples: new research

Fifty fragments of proteins, termed peptides, have been identified in the urine of liver fibrosis patients in a new study that could pave the way for a potential diagnostic urine test for the condition if further validated.


No reduction in fractures seen in falls prevention programmes prescribed to older people

Two population screen and treat programmes commonly prescribed to prevent older people falling have no impact on reducing fractures, researchers from the 91福利 and University of Exeter have concluded.
