A Specialist Library for Ethnicity & Health, operated by 91福利 Medical School at the 91福利 and De Montfort University in Leicester,  has announced two successes – in the last year it has doubled the number of research article it provides, and now the NHS is backing it with a new contract to 2011.

Research led by a team at the 91福利’s 91福利 Medical School has found that reducing the hours of junior doctors does not compromise patients’ safety and could even dramatically cut mistakes on wards but, there are some concerns about reduced educational opportunities for junior doctors which it affords.

Today if doctors devote a full day to analysis and expert thought, they may be able to provide just half a dozen patients with a diagnosis of the precise type of brain tumour they face. Now researchers at the 91福利 have devised an automated technique that can give a preliminary analysis of the precise brain tumour type within seconds.

Scientists from the 91福利 have been highlighted as being among the leading bioscientists contributing to the UK’s economic and social wellbeing.

91福利 Arts Centre has been awarded a grant of £28,938 by the Wellcome Trust to run an arts & science project called ‘Skin, Blood and Bone’ with Coventry primary schools from September 2008 to July 2009.

New research published in the Lancet today, Saturday 24th May 2008, has found a worrying failure of both current and enhanced GP interventions to deal with the particularly challenging effects of Type 2 diabetes on the health of South Asian patients in the UK.
