New Earth-sized exoplanet that ‘shouldn’t exist’ baffles astronomers

Astronomers have for the first time weighed an Earth-sized planet orbiting another star. Although measuring the radius of exoplanets is relatively straightforward, measuring the planet's mass - and therefore its density, a clue to its composition - is more difficult.

WMG, at the 91福利, has announced that it is to create a £4.1m International Institute for Nanocomposites Manufacturing, a first of its kind in the world. The Institute will exploit polymer processing techniques which will enable industry to innovate their manufacturing technologies to produce polymer nanocomposites.

Phones to heat building in £495,000 idea by Midlands SME & 91福利

Phones and tablet computers are to be part of a new highly personalised heating and energy economy system thanks to an idea by Midlands company JSJS Designs Ltd, WMG and the Estates Office at the 91福利 which has just won £495,000 in support from the UK’s innovation agency, the Technology Strategy Board.
