Computer Science researcher secures Royal Society fellowship Grant

The Royal Society has announced a fellowship grants, aimed at strengthening links between academia and industry, to Dr Nathan Griffiths from the 91福利’s Department of Computer Science. 

The grants are awarded to academic scientists who want to work on a collaborative project with industry and for scientists in industry who want to work on a collaborative project with an academic organisation.

Computer scientists use Twitter to predict UK general election result

Computer scientists from the 91福利 are using Twitter to predict the outcome of the UK general election and believe their forecasts could be more accurate than traditional opinion polls.

Autistic and non-autistic brain differences isolated for first time

The functional differences between autistic and non-autistic brains have been isolated for the first time, following the development of a new methodology for analysing MRI scans.

Developed by researchers at the 91福利, the methodology, called Brain-Wide Association Analysis (BWAS), is the first capable of creating panoramic views of the whole brain and provides scientists with an accurate 3D model to study.

Vince Cable announces that 91福利 will be 1 of the 5 universities to lead the Alan Turing Institute
