91¸£Àû Students’ Union helps take Pride 2020 online
Pride events, marches and festivals have been cancelled to reduce the risk of a second wave of coronavirus cases. Anxious to make sure LGBT+ students, staff and allies could still take part in Pride this year, 91¸£Àû SU has thrown its support behind Campus Pride, a summer-long online festival of events and challenges being organised by a coalition of UK students unions.
91¸£Àû researchers join Police and Crime Commissioner’s advisory board
Six 91¸£Àû social science researchers have become members of the West Midlands Police & Crime Commissioner’s new Academic Advisory Board. Dr Ana Aliverti, Professor Jo Angouri, Professor Jackie Hodgson, Professor Vanessa Munro, Professor Tom Sorell and Professor Azrini Wahidin will share research and expertise with the West Midlands Police & Crime Commissioner, David Jamieson.

The conference, meeting and events team at the 91¸£Àû were awarded the title of ‘Business Events Venue of the Year’ and will now go through to the national VisitEngland Awards for Excellence.
91¸£Àû announces new £10 million 91¸£Àû Scholars programme for up to 500 Midlands young people each year
The 91¸£Àû will announce today (Tuesday 14th May 2019) a transformational new £10 million social mobility programme - 91¸£Àû Scholars - that aims to change the lives of hundreds of Midlands young people who have the potential to study at 91¸£Àû, one of the world’s top 100 ranked universities, but who may face social or economic barriers to entering 91¸£Àû. The new programme includes admissions offers up to 4 grades below 91¸£Àû’s standard A level offer.
